Attendees participated in 3 business seminars Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6, in the Varied Industries Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

7 Pork Academy Seminars

7 PORK Academy seminars took place throughout Wednesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 6. Pork producers and their employees learned about nutrition management, understanding consumers, data collection and much more.

10,000 Pork Lunches

10,000+ mouthwatering pork lunches were served at the Big Grill located south of the Varied Industries building.

Nearly 700 Booths

Attendees shopped the nearly 700 booths that made up the world’s largest pork-specific trade show — open 23 hours over the course of three days.

Over 50 Hospitality Tents

Attendees visited the 50+ hospitality tents placed throughout the fairgrounds — along Grand Avenue and Ruan Plaza. Expo attendees could drop in and visit with company representatives to learn about the latest innovations and developments.

World Pork Open Golf Tournament

75 golfers participated in the annual World Pork Open Golf Tournament held at The Legacy Golf Club in Norwalk, Iowa, on Tuesday, June 4.

2,300 Campsites

2,300 campsites are available on 160 acres within the Iowa State Fairgrounds for those interested in camping on-site during WPX.

Each year, more than 3,000 hotel rooms are booked throughout Des Moines and the surrounding area for WPX attendees.
